Air-supported membrane sports halls use an air supply system to raise the indoor air pressure to a certain level, creating a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the roof. This pressure difference resists external forces and prevents collapse, forming a structural system that is supported by air pressure. The interior is free of columns and obstructions, offering a large and highly usable space. Depending on actual needs, the interior can be fitted with basketball courts, football fields, badminton courts, golf facilities, gymnastics halls, and more. The generous space can accommodate, for example, six basketball courts laid out side by side.
